There have been problems with the larboard-POD, one of two main drives, during cruise MSM38 in May 2014. We expect a dockyard time of at least three months.

There have been problems with the larboard-POD (in the swivel bearing), one of two main drives, during cruise MSM38 in May 2014. The RV MARIA S. MERIAN is expected to reach Bremerhaven on the 22nd of July and will stay at leat three months in the dockyard. The affected scientific cruises are partly realized by other research vessels.
